Frier Vest – green industrial development in Grenland

Statkraft and Frier Vest have entered into a cooperation agreement to develop and market what could be Norway's largest industrial area. Frier Vest, which comprises about 700ha centrally located in Bamble municipality in Grenland, works for both further development of existing and new industry within several categories that will promote local value creation.

Through the collaboration, the parties want to attract players to what is to be developed into an attractive area for both existing and future oriented business and industrial establishment.

It is centrally located in Greenland with proximity to strong industrial environments and nearby infrastructure.

Frier Vest is now in place with land ownership agreements, port facilities and regulation of this huge plot area.

The development of Frier Vest Harbor Terminal is well underway and the area down to the sea is under construction.

Frier Vest is a relevant location for national and international players.
